Second time I visit the Turkish Kitchen in Madison and both times the food was outstanding. Flavors are very authentic and well prepared dishes. Appetizers is always the way to go with Mediterranean food and here they offer a nice combination of spreads . Babaganoush eggplant is perfectly smoky , the haidari is light on the garlic separating it from the Greek tzatziki, the ezme is red pepper but not spicy instead very flavorful and the hummus is always a staple . Grape leaves with rice (Sarma) was also very good . Pita bread is delicious and perfect for scooping up all the dips . I would recommend ordering two haidari dips for it goes so well with the grilled meat . Kebabs plate for two is the ideal portion and excellent prepared. Takes me to my visits to Istanbul ! The Adana is my favorite kebab followed by the soft and succulent chicken and finally the lamb . Service is good and the staff very friendly . They offer beer and wine although I wish they had a more extensive menu and served Turkish raki . That would be the icing on the cake ! I will be back for many dinners here ! Keep up the great work you guys

The food price is ridiculously low for all the delicious appetizers you receive. This food is a great experience to learn about culture and food culture in Turkey. I had the best time of my life yesterday eating this food. Highly recommend this place to everyone. The lentil soup, salad, grilled yellow peppers, garden salad, and yogurt really caught my eyes. All these food for 25 added tip. My server was very attentive and took extremely good care of me. I am lucky I insisted I want sujuk and this was the only Turkish restaurant in the area that had it.

"The food is great" - would definitely be an understatement. The lamb and the chicken were juicy and delicious, along with the sides such as Baba Ganoush, lentils soups. The tea was great. The person who was serving the food was very soft spoken and helpful as well.

I ordered food for takeout. The food is phenomenal and captures that fine balance of wonderful flavor but with the skill at providing a “made at home” authenticity. I’ll be honest, I have not had much Turkish food in my life but every part of the dish was on point. Clearly, this food is served with an assortment of side dishes and while I ordered takeout they included all of them to make the experience complete. Everything was excellent but of all things the yogurt hit a mark I wasn’t expecting (like fresh yogurt that is home made). They were kind and courteous and even gave me a baklava on the house when I indicated I wanted to try it/add it to my order. Prices are fairly high but not in excess to current expectations. I see myself going back for takeout and in person and hope others do as well as this is a keeper!
